(Hotten p 79) By patent, grant and purchase he owned lands in nansimond, NOrthampton, James Cittie and York counties Virginia, making his home in York, Va for a number of years. Apparently he was a ship's captain, as he patented lands in various sections for transporting people (and each time could count himself). |
